Miles

Are you for real ? Or are you a robot ? Because no offense but you don’t make much sense there: posting on a unicycle forum to ask where to go get food is kinda strange. Anyway, I would advise Le Lutecia, La Tour d’argent, Maxim’s and Chez Pierre Ganiere, those places are pretty good.

Haha yes I am for real.

Well, I am a Californias mountain rider who is visiting friends in France, and then I am heading over to Copenhagen for Unicon.

Thanks!
(pretty much the only places I’ve been getting food right now have been boulangeries… mmmmm)

Haha, also, are the other places you listed less expensive than Maxim’s by any chance?

I was just being a smart ass, you know, we French people are famous for that  8)
I think le Lutecia is actually a bit cheaper

Before we continue I must urge you to go to the Tuesday ride in Paris, it’s a lot of fun.

When it comes to food, it really depends on your budget and your neighborhood. Usually places where you can see a lot of tourists are a repellent for good restaurants.
My personnal favorites :
La Mère Lachaise (laid back joint, I know it more as a brunch/lunch place, not too expensive)
78 bd Ménilmontant 75020 PARIS
o 01 47 97 61 60

Bistrot Du Peintre (Le) (trendy restaurant, but the food is good and the neighboorhood is nice, try and go hang out in le passage de la main d’or afterwards, lots of bars out there)
116 av Ledru Rollin 75011 PARIS
o 01 47 00 34 39

Brasserie Flo (lots of tourists in this one but beautiful setting good food and reasonnable prices, somewhat…)
7 cour Petites Ecuries 75010 PARIS
o .01 47 70 13 59

Last but not least, if you wanna get a taste of bar food, croque monsieurs/salades or sandwiches go to le Penthy, corner of rue Emilio Castelar and rue de Cotte, Their Croque madames are to die for (I usually order 2 at a time). And their beer is cheep, which is quite unique in Paris, it ain’t very good but it gets the job done

super!

Every tuesday from 7pm to 11/midnight.
Next Tuesday, I should be there…

Ti nicO

I’m going have to bail on this one guys, but if any of you want to ride sometime else this week (maybe a bit earlier in the day?) that would be awesome.

Thanks!

Create a new thread in the rencontres balades Forum, and offer something. There is probably something going on at la Défense next Saturday, I think it’s mostly street and flatland, no riding around.
Oh ! And make it in French, otherwise you might not get much feedback. If you are interested I’m gonna ride 12 k every morning on 24", I have a spare one for you (but I recon you going to Unicon you probably have one of these with you  ). I’ll be in Paris on Monday.

My ass may be dumb, but I ain’t no dumb ass.

are you around this sunday (July 20) Mornish? we ride along the Marne river and you can borrow my 29er …
you can call me around 11 A.M this sunday on 06 68 63 96 51
